I haven't taken advantage of what snapshot groups have to offer, and would like to covert my current snapshots to snapshot groups, w/o rebuilding snapshots from scratch. I have played arround with the configs and since this did not solve anything, I have reverted to the snapshot. If you reverted to the snapshot, it threw away contents of win98.vmdk.REDO_7GQvKd file. This file (or some other with .vmdk.REDO_XXX extension) contained changes you made since you took snapshot.

Theoretically, you could copy snapshot to a W2K machine with no service pack or any novell client. Then do your snapshot from there and restore the image after each snapshot. Now if you assume all your clients will have atleast SP1 and Novell Client 4.8 etc...., then build your image with that.
